Born in 1994 in Sakarya, Hatice Sena ARICIOĞLU completed her primary and secondary education in the same city. She graduated from the Department of Translation and Interpretation in Turkish-English-French in the İ.D. Bilkent University (Ankara, Turkey) in 2017 with a minor degree in Political Science and Public Administration. Arıcıoğlu received her Master’s Degree (MA) in Political Science and Public Administration, graduating from the İ.D. Bilkent University in 2019. In addition to pursuing a PhD degree, she currently works as a professional translator & interpreter and is fluent in both English and French. Combining her professional career with her academic passions, Arıcıoğlu’s research interests include Turkish intellectual history, binaries in Turkish thought, social, cultural and political studies of science, sociology of science, alternative spiritualities and the representations of science and religion in the Middle East.
