Born in Izmir in 1986, Selim Güngörürler completed his pre-college education at Bornova Anatolian High School. He received his BA in Political Science from Sabancı University (2008) and MA in History from Boğaziçi University (2011). He is currently a doctoral student and teaching assistant at Georgetown University, Department of History.
