Roysi Ojalvo Kamayor completed her Bachelor of Architecture and Masters of Educations at Istanbul Technical University's Faculty of Architecture. She completed her Ph.D. research, entitled Turkey’s Jewish Heritage Revisited: Architectural Conservation and the Politics of Memory, at the same faculty in 2016. She worked as a lecturer at Kadir Has University and Cyprus International University during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years. She studied at Université catholique de Louvain and KU Leuven during the 2013-2014 school year as a visiting Ph.D. researcher. She is an editor of and contributor to the book Arzu Mimarlığı: Mimarlığı Düşünmek ve Düşlemek (Architecture of Desire: Thinking and Dreaming about Architecture) (2012). She has published articles on Turkey’s Jewish architectural heritage, in journals such as Future Anterior (2014) and The Journal of Architecture (2017). She worked as part of Boran Ekinci Architects’ team and as a free-lance architect between 2006 and 2013. She currently pursues her research and publications intersecting architecture, philosophy, critical theory and cultural studies.
