Agah HAZIR is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at Van Yüzüncü Yıl Universityand a visiting research fellow at the School of Theology, Philosophy and Religion/University of Birmingham. His research interests focus oncomparative politics, religion-state relations and transnational Islam.He was a visiting fellow at the Faculty of Law and Politics/ University of Tehran in 2008 and at the Institute of Iranian Studies / University of St Andrews in 2011. He holds a PhD of International Relations from the Middle East Technical University.
